| Here is something you may always have wanted, but couldn't afford. A Vintage Surfboard. Vintage boards have gone at auction for about $7,000 to $12,000 dollars. See link page to surfboard auctions, click "Enter Page", click "Wood plank set". I make boards that are more affordable. My wood boards are of the styles are of the early 1900's. Like those hand made by Tom Blake and Bob Simmons, made with technology of the 21 st. Century. My vintage wooden surfboards are made of solid lumber. I use Pine & Redwood or Balsa and Redwood. Shapes and styles shown below or you may submit your own drawing for quoting. All surfboards have hand selected lumber to provide the best product. I select from F.A.S. Sugar Pine, Select Clear Heart Redwood and Premium Balsa. Boards are made of solid wood. No Plywood edgebands or plywood veneers on deck A Vintage board uses about 150 Board Feet of lumber depending on size, and takes about 80 hours to make a board, from start to finish. |

Solid 1-1/2" Redwood rails mitered to fit at nose blocks. Solid Redwood tail block glued after rails are attached Showned with Vee bottom to allow for steering. |

After assembly and shaping, the board is finished sanded to 240 grit, tack and three coats
of semi-gloss clear lacquer is applied sanded between coats. |
